VML can handle a broad range of projects. We have the tools, resources and skills to process projects beyond the scope of a traditional industrial painting facility.
CUSTOM COATINGS
VML is capable of creating and applying custom coatings, including anti-slip, retro-reflective, super-conductive and other performance-enhancing finish coats.
OVERSIZED AND COMPLICATED PROJECTS
VML's in-house mechanical shop can manufacture custom tooling for the production of oversize, non-symmetrical and otherwise complicated parts.
Powder Coating Oversize Parts
- VML's powder coating booths and ovens allow parts up to 16" x 9" x 9" in size to be processed.
- Images depict large diameter components for custom light fixture subsequently installed at International Airport.
IN-HOUSE PROBLEM SOLVING CAPABILITIES
- Production of various patterns required VML's in-house engineering team to create custom tooling, machinery and metalizing processes.
- Image depicts metalized lights installed in upscale grocery chain stores, airports, luxury hotels and high-end condominiums.
SKILLED LABOR
VML's capabilities allow for projects outside the scope of a typical painting contract.
Large fiberglass domes being prepared prior to painting. Fiberglass filler used to repair fissures and to smooth surfaces.
Polishing of the sanded surface produces a reflective coating simulating the appearance of aged bronze.
High-build primer applied over filler to level the surface and prepare for the finish coat.
Metallic finish coat manually sprayed over primer.
Final inspection and installation of electrical lighting components.
Safely packed and ready for overseas shipment.
Cured surface sanded to produce a metallic finish.
